I'm back!

Thank you all for being so patient and continuing to check this site for updates......Finally I am here writing an update for you all!! This last few weeks have been tumultuous and busy busy busy!! Firstly I have finished FINALLY up at ICU, I have my certificate to prove that I completed my course and am now heading back to the place i know and love Surgical Specialties!! I started back there yesterday and had a lovely day with all the gals. Now on my completion of my ICU stint I was given 2 weeks off to have a holiday, which just really started badly! On the first monday i ended up with a tummy bug which was just yuk - no matter how much morning sickness you go through you still never get used to vomiting!! Then by mid week i was up in Bris Vegas sitting with mum at the Wesley hospital waiting for dad whilst he underwent a procedure on his heart which saved his life and prevented any cardiac events occuring . . . . needless to say it was not a holiday. Mike is ok for all of you gasping out there but he is soooooooooooo lucky that his family nag nag nag nag. So finally I return this tuesday from Brisbane completely exhausted and wondering what just happened! I am sorry that I did not get to see any of you but as you can imagine my mind was elswhere. Mike came home from hospital the day i left (tuesday) and we all hope he is still NOT SMOKING!!!!!!! (statement purely for his benefit)

One good thing was that David and I both managed to be around for this op so mum had some supports and we all had some nice family time together, even if it was a few laughs by mike's bedside as he lay there in pain! I also got to spend some nice time with the 'other brudda' James who's been galavanting around the world for 18months - 2years, it was great! I think they are both VERY excited about becoming uncles! Prior to Brisbane, David and Yvette came to Hobart for 3 days and the four of us had such a nice time hanging out and spending time in the Ho! Whilst they were here Tim and I had our first Antenatal appointment and got to have another quick squiz at bub who was waving and picking its nose (must be a boy). David has managed to coin it the 'GIANT BABY' which is endearing in many ways but mostly just funny . . . I really hope that its not a giant baby or else there may be trouble with my drug free birth plans!

The weekend prior to Dave and Toula coming we also got a nice surprise with Simon visiting for the Aussie day long weekend! Tim & Simon went to freycinet and did some hiking and camping for a couple of days and then hung out in Hobart with Zara, Tim, Simon and myself going to salamanca for the hottest one hundred final ten and then out to dinner at the yummy d'Angelo's. Simon and I were both about to be sick as Tim made his way through this MASSIVE calzone without breathing, it was a real treat. Needless to say its always sad when our visitors leave but when they are here we have so many laughs and good times!!

So 18weeks 5 days and bub is growing me a little bump (i'll put up a photo once the batteries for the camera are charged). It is very exciting !! I am feeling a million dollars, good energy, no nausea (unless i eat too much) and good sleep! Our next scan is the 1st March , so excpect an updated photo of bub . . . we can't wait to see bub again! We are not finding out the sex though so its bets on all around!

We have loads of exciting visitors on the way . . . Ads & Ads - our friends from Sydney and Cassie - my school friend, mike and jenny are coming down for bubs birth and then loads of visitors after bub is born , dee dee, Jules & Merri and more. . . . So anyone else please come down but ring ahead to book in to the 5 star Hynes Hotel!!!

I hope this finds you all well and i look forward to a more regular update for you all now that things are calming down. . . . .
