Our Beautiful Little Girl
Hi Long time no blog,
Well what a couple of months...................
Since I last blogged a lot has happened. Tim did do an excellent attempt at a blog but babe its just not the same!!!
So most of you will know if you checked recently that miss kate is walking!!!! Slow but steady.
She now has about a dozen teeth and is great at flashing them to us with her cheeky grin and little giggle =) This is always her way of trying to escape trouble generally
Unfortunately for us we have had to give away our furry daughters. Miss Kate was allergy tested early in Oct and found to be allergic to egg & cats :( They went to seperate but good homes and we are slowly adjusting to the household without them ....
Prior to all of this I was kept extremely busy working full time for 5 weeks and jetsetting from Hobart to Melb for work & conferences. The job was a fabulous career experience however working full-time was difficult for everyone - Luckily I have the most handsome & supportive husband & beautiful friends who assisted me endlessly in my search to be the ultimate career woman.... I have decided in retrospect its not worth it. I am happy with being a partime pleb on the ward and an excellent mum ;)
Things are slowly settling down, although we are all a bit run down and have experienced some illness recently. Summer is starting warmer, longer days and beautiful hobartian weather are here!!
This christmas will see us spending some time in Hobart town with friends and hopefully David & Sarah!!! ENjoy these few cute photo's.
Kate is also saying a few new words - boooook, booo, ta, gurt (yoghurt), more, num (yum/feed me), narna (banana), miiillll (milk).....
Love to you all

I'm standing and walking!
Well...Tim here making a cameo appearance on the blog as there is an AWOL wifey (work). I am however a sick little puppy and have been all week so I thought I would put my time to good use and update the blog with some video of Kate standing and walking. Kate and has taken a grand total off 11 continuous steps so far.
I have attached some video of Kate walking a few steps in the lounge plus some extra photos that are rather cute.

Ballina, brisbane & THE WEDDING
The Wedding finally arrived (after 5 years of waiting) and everything went beautifully....not without its little hiccups but then it wouldn't have felt real without a few issues on the day. It was so lovely to see Kate & John and share this special day so intimately with them. They were so pleased to meet our gorgeous daughter and they look forward to welcoming there very own munchkin in Feb 2009. They are very dear friends to us and we love and miss them VERY much.
PS Hope you two are finally enjoying a more private honey moon

Photos & Update
Things have been chaotic for a while with Kate being sick sick sick and Caz finishing uni.. Now i am on holidays and miss kate is well things are rosey and shiney again.
Kate is giving kisses, high 5's, clapping to music, dancing and just generally LOVING going through bags, books and music music music. She is talking (babbling) more and more each day and we also have a little sing together often in the car!
She is growing up so quick we can't believe our little bub is turning into a little girl. She loves her food (when she is not sick) and is eating mostly finger foods - lots of fruit and vege, meat, cheese, pasta and rice. She has her milk out of a straw cup and drinks water with a straw too.
The cats are finding her new found mobility and interest a little shall we say ANNOYING however they continue to stay around Kate's vicinity despite multiple fur pulls, tail pulls and general squashing, pinchin and fistfuls of fur grabbing.
Kate isn't walking but we are just letting her take each day at a time and see what happens. With Kate Renshaw's wedding fast approaching we are looking forward to a sunny holiday and some time with friends and family
xoxo

May 2008
May saw a visit from nana & pa, the assembly of baby gates to contain the very proficient and inquisitive crawler and lots of grizzles, temperatures and tissues with our first run of winter woes. Mothers day was spent with nana and pa - all 5 of us shared a gourmet lunch and then a roast lamb for dinner and a nice bottle (or a few) of red wine which i decided to share with our rug. Kate then topped the stain off with a huge pumpkin coloured spew. I think maybe she thinks she's the next prohart as she has tried numerous colours in her room. Daddy also managed to experience first hand kate's very first aqua-turd, which after much negotiation he cleaned up ! I think he felt it was an important moment in life and therefore needed to be blogged about. We received our first birthday package from the States and enclosed were some SERIOUSLY adorable outfits which you can look forward to seeing soon...
Enjoy the pics

April...
Hi all,
Hope this finds you all happy and well. Enjoy these photo's. Here are just a few quick updates from the last few weeks;
- Our lovely daughter has had her first bout of illness - a double ear infection, a reaction to the penicillin used to fight the ear infections and then a terrible case of gastro :( Poor bubalicious...
- Lots of spew and poo later we are now bulking up! For the first time in her life she is excited about her bottles and is drinking them ALL!!
- The wind storm at the beginning of the month was HUGE, winds clocked at 170km/hr in our little suburb in Hobart and stuff flying all over the place.
- Admidst the illness i submitted my first two assignments and received great marks for them both. I have had two weeks off uni but am back on deck now with all cylinders firing!
- Tim has been home a whole MONTH!!!! I am sure that won't last long but we are making the most of it.
- We spent the long weekend with great friends, delicious food and of course lots of wine....Kate and Naomi crawled within minutes of each other on this holiday, the highlight of our trip ....

Well FINALLY!!!
I can't begin to explain to everyone how sorry i am for the delay in this installment. I am officially announcing to the world that our lives are TOO BUSY!!!! Study is going well for me but it is crunch time and i have two assignments due tomorrow - wish me luck. Work is great but three days a week feels like ALOT.
Tim is well but busy with work and still travelling heaps. He is back playing soccer but is yet to make a game, he's enjoying training each week though. MND association is also keeping him busy. They have launched 'entertainment books' in tassie this year so we are both working hard to build up the awareness and get people buying them for .
I know what you all really want to hear about is our Miss Kate.
Well what can i say she is gorgeous...yes still! She is not yet crawling but quite mobile none the less. She cracked her fourth tooth yesterday oh and i locked her in the car two days ago. Yes to all you mums out there it is a nightmarish experience the minute you realise you've done it and the panic sets in. Luckily I was at my dear friend Kylie's place and together with Naomi we strategised how to get my most precious possession free from our little black hotbox. I could not stop hearing those tv ads that tell you children die in cars in minutes. With Ky's help i kept it together and finally after what felt like hours, but was only about 20 minutes. My knight in shining armour arrived in the taxi with his keys. We released our princess from the clutches of the evil black machine and the story ended sweatily, thirstily but never the less happily!
Now my knight in shining armour is revelling in the fact that i did this and not him as we both know for him the aftermath would be much worse....
With four teeth our gorgeous daughters face has changed, her grin is even cheekier and her laugh is infectious. She has started clapping, bopping to songs and doing a little irish jig when you hold her under her arms with her feet just touching the ground.
She is loving more and more her interaction with little friends - Naomi, Hannah, George, Pippa, James and of course her most beloved big friends Adelle & Jess (her daycare worker) whenever she sees any of these little and big people she starts flapping her arms and legs as if she's going to fly away and starts making an excited aaahh aaaahh noise. Wiht the little people they snatch and grab from each other, laugh and smile. Just last weekend KAte was laying her head on Naomi's back in a tender loving way and they were giggling away together on tuesday afternoon over nothing but each other (after i locked her in the car). Hannah thinks Kate is hilarious as she passes hannah a toy and then snatches it straight back. It is so nice to see this interaction and see how lovely natured she is.
The other thing that makes her giggle is tims 5 O'Clock shadow - he just rubs her hand or foot on his face and she giggles like a maniac.
I can procrastinate no more,
Enjoy the pics
lots of love to you all
xoxo Carolyn :)
Afternoon wedding in South Hobart, look at that face.
This was our 36 hour girly jaunt to Melb with my lovely friends Zara, Ange & Gemma.
Pen & Ben's Wedding reception in March
GORGEOUS
Playing with her golliwog from Nana, she spotted in on the shelf and was fascinated by the colours oh and the hair
Eating or shall we say squishing a cream cheese sandwhich
