Pics

Cautiously checking out the horse @ Richmond
Chasing the ducks @ Richmond bridge
following the traumatic Carousel ride Kate said 'more more' (sporting a large scratch from a bif with the lemon tree)
Two VERY hungover parents @ the Sydney- Hobart Festival on the wharf
What was I thinking ???  I just thought she would love it...Not so.  I researched the ride and it was 3 songs long - she can handle that, I can handle that even if she doesn't like it.  It was 5 and a half bloody songs, she was ok for about the first half of the first song and then it was on!!!!
'The Taste' - What a great night, good food, Great Wine & lovely company :)

Summer News

It has been some time since I blogged properly & there is sooo many pics to catch up on!!  Things have been sensational in Tassie for summer this year. Warm sunny days even some balmy nights!  The house has been pretty quite not very many visitors this year :(  We do have a little human Tasmanian devil keeping us busy though.  Busy is one of the best ways to describe this little munchkin.  She LOVES being helpful....always passing us things (she isn't supposed to touch), turning off things (she isn't suppossed to touch) & putting things in the bin (she isn't suppossed to touch).  Luckily to date the only things (we know of that) we've lost are numerous tupperware herb containers & our brush from the dustpan set.
Christmas was loads of fun with Sarah & David.  We drank & drank & drank, played games, cards, talked & ate ourselves silly.  It was lovely to hang out & for them to enjoy some Kate time with our ever developing little munchkin.  Whilst they were here Kate was having a serious stranger/animal danger phase which until recently had me a little worried.  In the last 2 weeks however she has come along ten-fold & is much more confident, still wary of animals & strangers but much more willing to explore & experience life.  She is OBSESSED with singing nursery rhymes at the moment, in fact I have just spent the last hour driving in the car singing twinkle twinkly & incy wincy spider for her while she sat back in airconditioned comfort & sucked her thumb.  It tried explaining that I was tired & OVER IT!!!!  But really who can reason with an independant 18month old female!!!!  So on & on & on & on & on I went till Tim was ready to slap me I think :)
We have been making good use of this beautiful weather with lots of beach time & outside picnics & play.  The garden is a HUGE feature at the moment.  Tim & a good friend of ours 'Joe' have created a new amazing vegie patch with loads of vege & herbs.  Tim is also attempting to dig up all the grass so that he can replant for next season.
Uni hasn't started back for the Semester but I have enrolled & am anticipating a busy but manageable timetable.  I am working every wed, thurs fri this year.  This is so that Tim & I can have some nice family time together & with our little girl.
Kate is still loving her swing set, she has become so much more confident with the slide.  She gets on the swing first (always - she's a little OCD!!!) and is there for some time, all the while saying 'more more more' which means higher higher higher till she is cackling like a patient from the luny bin.  Then we head to teh slide & she never waits for the 'go' in 'ready set go' she is already whizzing off with a devilish grin.  It is beautiful........
Discovering the world day by day through a toddlers eyes is a great way to be living life...Things are just so simple.  I will post some photos from christmas & beyond after this .. We hope this finds those of you who are still loyally checking our blog well & thank you for your patience...xoxoxo Caz, Tim & Kate

Hello to all.  Merry christmas & Happy 2009!!!

Well its been some time since I last blogged & I feel guilty enough, not to mention all the people who keep reminding me :)  Thanks Dave.  Unfortunately there are loads more photos but I will have to do a take 2 as my gorgeous little munchkin has just started calling out "mummi, mummi"  Just in case I hadn't heard the constant chattering since she woke from her sleep.  She is gowing up so fast and changing every day - new words, funny expressions, queries & statements & childish awe & amazement at teh most simple things.  It's GREAT!!!
I will blog about our wonderful Decemeber 08/ January 09 with visitors, christmas, Taste festival etc in the very near future & also put up some more pics
Thank you to all our beautiful family (that includes the Lee's) for there generous contributions toward the best present for all of us - The swing set!!!
It is providing Tim & I with sanity & her with hours of fun & excitement!  All she says when she is awake is "outide" -  which means outside.  She hasn't quite worked out that playing in the rain is not quite the socially acceptable thing yet & truly lets us know quite vocally that she isn't real happy about going in!

These slide & beach pics are from Christmas Day

I just love the tentative excitement of this shot.  THE SLIDE :)
Looking Uber serious on the swing
The whole kit & caboodle

Naomi & Kate opening pressies after lunch & a sleep :)
Christmas afternoon @ the beach - our little girl having some fun...

'Cheese' for the photo :)
Having fun playing in the sand @ Howrah Beach

A little family pic - on our way to the taste 28th Dec with Dave & Sarah.  We dropped Kate @ the Sih's & let our hair out -  Needless to say there was much fun had by all & a few headaches the next day!  I could show you some incriminating evidence, however, I will refrain as it is just too bad :)  Lov you big bro xo

Our Beautiful Little Girl

Hi Long time no blog,
Well what a couple of months...................
Since I last blogged a lot has happened.  Tim did do an excellent attempt at a blog but babe its just not the same!!!
So most of you will know if you checked recently that miss kate is walking!!!!  Slow but steady.
She now has about a dozen teeth and is great at flashing them to us with her cheeky grin and little giggle =) This is always her way of trying to escape trouble generally
Unfortunately for us we have had to give away our furry daughters.  Miss Kate was allergy tested early in Oct and found to be allergic to egg & cats :(  They went to seperate but good homes and we are slowly adjusting to the household without them ....
Prior to all of this I was kept extremely busy working full time for 5 weeks and jetsetting from Hobart to Melb for work & conferences.  The job was a fabulous career experience however working full-time was difficult for everyone - Luckily I have the most handsome & supportive husband & beautiful friends who assisted me endlessly in my search to be the ultimate career woman.... I have decided in retrospect its not worth it.  I am happy with being a partime pleb on the ward and an excellent mum ;)
Things are slowly settling down, although we are all a bit run down and have experienced some illness recently.  Summer is starting warmer, longer days and beautiful hobartian weather are here!!
This christmas will see us spending some time in Hobart town with friends and hopefully David & Sarah!!!  ENjoy these few cute photo's.
Kate is also saying a few new words - boooook, booo, ta, gurt (yoghurt), more, num (yum/feed me), narna (banana), miiillll (milk).....
Love to you all

I'm standing and walking!

Well...Tim here making a cameo appearance on the blog as there is an AWOL wifey (work). I am however a sick little puppy and have been all week so I thought I would put my time to good use and update the blog with some video of Kate standing and walking. Kate and has taken a grand total off 11 continuous steps so far.

I have attached some video of Kate walking a few steps in the lounge plus some extra photos that are rather cute.

Ballina, brisbane & THE WEDDING

The Wedding finally arrived (after 5 years of waiting) and everything went beautifully....not without its little hiccups but then it wouldn't have felt real without a few issues on the day. It was so lovely to see Kate & John and share this special day so intimately with them. They were so pleased to meet our gorgeous daughter and they look forward to welcoming there very own munchkin in Feb 2009. They are very dear friends to us and we love and miss them VERY much.
PS Hope you two are finally enjoying a more private honey moon
xoxox

This was our grand entrance .... miss kate was such a dead weight due to the huge morning i think it was at this point i was beginning to think i might drop her!
